Midnight Upholstery

This dark midnight color would be perfect paired with the yellow hues below from our last post!

The silver nail heads pop against this dark upholstery!

This dramatic upholstered headboard is lightened up by the kelly greens and playful pattern.

This Divine feather wallcovering is by Schumacher.

Again, this chaise could be very formal, but placing it in a bright white space with ethnic accents and prints is a wonderful contrast!

Yellow isn't one of the most popular colors to use in a room, but as an accent it can be brilliant.  I recently came across a couple of rugs from Decorative Carpets that took my breath away!  What a fun way to liven up a room!  As I got to looking through our archives we have a number of wonderful rooms with pops of wonderful yellows.  See below for some sunny summer inspiration!

Letterpress Camel, Decorative Carpets

Palmeraie Gold, Decorative Carpets

The combination of yellow, blue, natural fibers and a light white wash make this room feel bright and fresh!

Painting the very lower half of this room (including the base) brings the bright white walls down to a more human scale.  The turquoise chandelier is the perfect touch to this little girls room.

Charcoal and this mustard yellow make a beautiful, rich combination!

This kitchen has a playful addition of yellow accents.  They especially pop with the dark cabinetry.  The pale yellow walls soften the white and black finishes.
